What’s poppin’ my peeps!!!…..I hope your head is held high and you are doing well!!!! Let’s jump right into it!! Saving money, for some people, is not the easiest thing to do! YA girl use to have an Aston Martin appetite with a Chevy Spark Budget…OhKAYYYYYY!!!!  BUT NOW.. alright alright….I still don’t have an Aston Martin budget, but I got a Lincoln one 🤣🤣 and that’s A LOT better than I used to have!! 

So let’s help each other!! I have realized that when you break savings down into smaller pieces, it doesn’t feel like you are saving! Oh, BUT WAIT ☝🏾☝🏾, when you use auto saving  options on your banks mobile app (if applicable), that is a GREAT way to start!  A few apps I have found to be top notch, for my own personal financial education are: Credit Karma, Credit Sesames, Fundrise, NerdWallett, and Robinhood. I know, I know that was A LOT, but if you would like me to go into detail on how I use all of these tools just hit me up!! in the comments below or contact me through social media!

What I decided to do was make a calendar to help you get started. This calendar can be adjusted to fit your needs, but I just started with $5.  Now I know what you are thinking….5 Dollars?? that’s it! YES that’s it! It gives you a place to start! I want you to take your financial future seriously! I am NOT a professional, I am just someone who wants to help you in the only way I know how! I joke a lot with my friends  saying“ I may not know how to do a lot of things, but I KNOW how to make money!!”  This advice is FREE! and the best way to start is to JUST DO IT! ✅

To start off, you of course want to have a plan or maybe YOU DON’T! Just start saving!! NOW just about all of the financial help books I have read have ONE thing in common, WRITE IT DOWN!!! They all say that you need a visual picture of what you are spending, right down to the piece of gum you buy, so that you know where everything is going. because to be quite honest… ⏬⏬

I was that person that prided myself in NOT having to know when I got paid, NOT having to check when my bills came out…blah blah blah!! YEAH that’s all fine and dandy until you get down to the end of the month and you out here looking crazy because you don’t know where all ya money went! 💲💲

I HATE to carry cash!! I don’t know why, I just DO!!! BUT I had to make myself get out of that! I forced myself to take out a set amount each time I got paid. Once that was gone, I had nothing else until the next time. In the beginning it was ROUGH!!! I MEAN ROUGH!!! I would spend it waayy to quick and would just say "It’s my money, I’ll just go get some more!!" YEP I DID THAT!!! and it taught me so many things!!! It taught me that I had 🚫 NO self-discipline 🚫 when it came to my finances, that I was not responsible in that area of my life, and it also meant that I needed a STRONG WHY!!!  So I re-evaluated my life and started to get financially serious!

I took my debit card out of my wallet after I got my cash for that week, however I did keep a credit card in case of emergencies, but I slowly realized all of the frivolous things I spent money on! I was able to get better with my allotted budget and was slowly able to make it stretch for the week!! NOW keep in mind this money was for my miscellaneous expenses… food, shopping, outings etc. 

So where am I now you ask, 💥 BETTER THAN EVER 💥 with a loonnnnggggggg way to go!!! I am a lot better with managing my money, but I still want to get even better, so I would love to know what you all do to help you save!!! 📧 HIT ME UP 📧and let's get better together!!!
