We Are Going On A Trip!!
Well technically, my sister went on a trip.. lol! But any who! Whatโs good beautiful people!! So, yea, my sister went on a trip to Savanah GA back in February and I just HADDDD to have her share her experiences with yaโll because they were just too good to pass up. Join her over the next few weeks as she shares her ever-so hi-larious adventures with you, so without further adieu here she goes!
Hey, what's up, guys? It's Lady Dee ๐๐. If you don't already know, I'm Jazz's sister, and it's nice to meet all of you. I'm so happy to be a part of the great things my sister is doing!! She is AWESOME and doing WONDERFUL things, so great job, big homie!! (Isn't she the sweetest) ๐ช๐ช Don't forget to check Jazz, Myself, PBID, and Soulbrotha Love out every Saturday at 12:30 pm on the Blue Moon Vibez Podcast!! (Available on your favorite streaming platform) It's a great show every time, and we look forward to hearing what you guys have to say!! I recently went on a trip to Savannah, Ga, for my birthday ๐๐, and I just wanted to share my experiences with you guys because apparently, my sister thinks they are just hilarious. ๐๐
So, Just a little about me before we start. I just turned 27; wait, does anyone else hear knocking? Maybe i'm just hearing things, but anywho, I'm a quiet person; until you get to know me, that is, then I feel like I don't know when to shut up ๐ ๐ . It's hard for me to talk with others outside of my close family and friends, and that's something I am working on, with Jazz's help, of course. My sister calls me mean, and I agree with her, to a certain extent. I feel as though I have a good heart. I'm a really nice person, it's just sometimes when I tell people what they need to hear, it may come off as a little meaner than I anticipate (and by people, I mean my immediate family and friends), to outsiders, I'm an angel ๐๐, but I really am a nice person though. I also like to cook and experiment with different recipes and ANIME-AHHHHHH. I'm not an aficionado, but I'm pretty sure we could have a conversation about it if any of you watch anime. If any of you ever meet me in person, I hope we can become great friends cause I kind of need some more of those๐๐!! So enough about that, let's get started.

I left to go to Savannah on Sunday, and I stayed at an Airbnb on Tybee Island. When I was driving there, I saw this GINORMOUS freighter going down the river on one side of the road! ๐ฎ๐ฎ I thought it was the coolest thing ever since I had never seen anything like that so close before. It was probably about 100 feet or so away from the road, I was driving on. On the other side of the road, at first glance, it looked just like tall grass in a field, but looking closer, you could see the grass growing from the water that surrounded the area. It genuinely looked like a savannah; get it, savannah ๐๐!!. I'm so sorry๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ , Gosh, I need friends ๐๐. All that to say, the views were freaking AWESOME!.
I wasn't allowed to check into my Airbnb until after 4 pm, so when I got to Tybee around 3ish, I just drove around to check out the area and see where things were. I decided to get something to eat and, by recommendation of a coworker of mine, I went to a place called Fannie's. My coworker said they had some of the best chicken tenders, so I was pretty excited about going. When I got out of my car to go to the restaurant, which was right on the beach, mind you, I realized I had made a horrible mistake (cue ominous music). I LEFT MY JACKET AT HOME!!. It was FREEZING, ๐ฅถ๐ฅถ well more so like 50-degree weather plus strong winds from the ocean, but that wind was a KILLER. My eyes started to water; my nose was starting to run; I was a mess, do you hear me! Thank goodness for masks ๐. Nonetheless, I braved it and went into Fannies. While waiting for my order, I glanced up and saw a dude eating crab legs. When I tell you he was struggling, this dude was having a time trying to eat those crab legs. My family and I LOVE seafood, so from someone who eats crab legs all the time, I thought it was the most hilarious thing when I saw that guy struggling to eat them using the crackers (LIKE WHO USES THOSE THINGS!!).
I ended up ordering the Maple Chicken and Waffles. It was pretty freaking delicious! The chicken tenders were fresh, crunchy on the outside, and extremely juicy on the inside. The waffle was perfectly golden brown with a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The syrup was maple, which in my opinion was the right amount of sweetness, and for the added flavor, they threw some pecans on top, YUMMY๐!. And it was reasonably priced. WIN-WIN. Now, if you eat it all in one sitting, great!. However, I ended up taking leftovers with me, and I will say the chicken held up beautifully, even reheated it was still juicy with a slight crunch. Now the waffle, on the other hand, of course, loses its crispness, which is a bummer, but it was still pretty tasty also.
Eventually, I made it to my Airbnb, which was a little cottage. It was super cute and perfect for one person or a couple. However, since it was just me, it was just right ๐. While I was settling in and figuring out what I wanted to see and do for the next week, I discovered I couldn't connect to the Wi-fi. BIG PROBLEM. ๐ซ So I immediately reached out to the host, and they told me some things to try, and when that didn't work, they told me they would send a tech out Monday morning to check on it. After that, I got ready for bed and to take on the first full day of my birthday vacation ๐๐!!
Thanks for hanging with me guys, make sure to check back in; I'll be taking you guys through each day of my trip. So stay tuned, it's going to get a little crazy ๐. So, until next time, keep your feet on the ground and your head in the clouds. Lady Dee OUT โ. (and if you get that reference, right on, man โฎโฎ)
