My Turtle Shell

So, it had been determined that I was in desperate need of a vacation, and I wanted to go someplace [peaceful, away from all the noise, stress, and b.s of these streets. Just a place I could be by myself and continue the process of figuring out my life. Thus my search began, and 8 1/2 hours later, I found my turtle shell! It was just the place I needed to be in nature, away from everything, and think rest, and be at peace! It was a beautiful loft in the forest with an adorable rive that ran behind. The host made everything perfect for personal touches that made it feel like home down to the message book in the corner nook. Liv also provided a binder with a few things to do and places to eat! I tried them, and stay tuned for my reactions! The well-crafted floor-to-ceiling windows gave you the outdoor feel with the comforts of the inside. If I ever came back that way, I most certainly would book again, and if you are ever in the Dawsonville, GA area, you should check it out too! @turtleshellfarmsontheriver, you won't be disappointed! Now, into my adventures.

Day 1-

Here we are; after about 3 hours of driving, I made it! On my first day, I didn't do much, so it wasn't stimulating, but it WAS extremely RELAXING!! I arrived about 3 pm, and before I get too deep into the story, I want to say that I was super nervous, for multiple reasons, I was afraid my car would not make it up what the host called a "very steep driveway," and I was nervous because I was in the woods by myself. The thought of all kinds of craziness ran through my head. You see, why I say your mind can be a caveat of despair if you let it! Ok, back to the story, so I arrived at about 3. As I was driving in, I received an email from the host with instructions and precautions-I mean; it is the middle of spring in the forest, so safety is still a thing! So, I got there, gathered my things, and headed in. I was immediately pleased with myself, and with my nervousness subsiding, I plopped my things down on the couch and crammed my food into the fridge with excitement because I could not wait to begin exploring the grounds! With haste, I hurried up the stairs to put my things away, slipped out of my shoes, and skipped outside!

Let me tell you, OMG, it was gorgeous! The pictures just don't do it justice; you have to see it for yourself!! So I walked amongst the beautiful foliage, took in the peaceful scenery, and let myself go. Once I was full of peace, I retired to the inside, relaxed n the big comfy couch-hahaha-if you know, you know- read a book, had a beef lo mein dinner, and so grape cherries for dessert, watched some Netflix, and chilled! LOL. I sat alone, tarring out the wall of windows for about an hour, then I headed up to the loft for bed. Before ending my peaceful day, I caught up on Law and Order Organized crime, and shortly thereafter, it was the next day!

Make sure to join me next week as I share my adventures and talk more about my beautiful oasis in the forest!!

As always, thank you ALL for allowing me to share my passions with you! I hope that my blog inspires you to go after what you want and believe in yourself, because I believe in you! Now strike your POWER POSE- We got this, LET’S GET TO IT!!
