“There’s always something to suggest that you’ll never be who you wanted to be. Your choice is to take it or keep on moving.” — Phylicia Rashad

Black women have made magnificent strides over the last few decades and I wanted to highlight those that came before me, and those that paved the way for them! We are a strong people, we are a beautiful people, we are a worthy people and we deserve our props! There are so many fantastic stories that have shaped these powerful women! I have Learned so much about these women and am glad I was able to broaden my horizon just a little! many times we only hear about those women that are well known! Like the Oprah’s and the Michelle’s that we forget there are many other women of Color that are killing the game!

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” ― Maya Angelou

“You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world’s problems at once but don’t ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own.” – Michelle Obama
